Maro Charitra 2010 Telugu Movie Review

I saw Maro Charitra yesterday night at Prasads. When I went in to book my show to book the tickets, I was shocked to see 18 shows in Prasads alone and adding to that which ever show I open, half the seats are filled on the very first day…..sorry seats were showing red color, meaning tickets are booked. But when I entered into the hall yesterday, I was shocked, we could count the audience in fingers…only so many…..uff…….

Movie started……..I did not want to compare this movie with the old one and hence limited my thinking to this screen alone……First Heroine introduction……Ammo…….Love is blind anna daniki ee heroine pratyeka nidarsanam…….Screen lone anta bhayapade vidanga vundante…..ika direct ga chuste….ammo less said the better……..and the back ground voice, whoever gave, its so frustrating to hear……gudduta……this is the favourite punch dialogue of the heroine through out the movie (ela kotta bangaru lokam…..) But its damn sick to listen…….Then our 2010 Kamal Hassan…..oops….I am so sorry…..I said I will not compare this movie with the old one right……

Already, as a pakka Hyderabadi (I am more a Telugu than a tamilian), I always like to listen to the pure telugu from atleast our heroes’ voices (heroines, we cannot anyhow expect that in telugu film industry). But our great hero, Mr. Varun Sandesh……I don’t know how US lo vundinanta matrana….mana matru basha ni inta la digajarchala…..and more importantly, we as a common audience are encouraging that…….
After blaming ourselves for encouraging such so called rich telugu guy (only money and no talent), we have to blame Mr. Sekhar Kammula garu for giving a launch to this so called Telugu kurradu……ammo…he did a movie with that title also……Then there is this Evaraina Eppudaina……Oh…ee movie lo ayite….he is more a villain than a hero……just to show him as hero, last 15 minutes of realizations, blah, blah, blah…..And now Maro Charitra…..Ya its true…..its really maro charitra only, for me……after seeing the old one (sorry for comparing but anyone would obviously compare the movie with the old one, given the same title and story)……

And mind you, Varun Sandesh show cased all Navarasalu in this movie….Really hats off to him….But only one point is that nobody knows if he is crying or smiling……In crying scenes, he resembles he is smiling and vice versa…….Oh the great versatile actor and new find of Telugu film industry……Obviously, it looks like we have to bear for more films from him…..given the fact that I am a Telugu movie buff and that too I would watch all Varun Sandesh’s films just to curse those producers and directors who are encouraging such great so called Telugu talent (its just insulting our film fraternity and nothing more…….)

Oh inko vishayam……Sir structure chusuntaru andaru…..Sir six pack try cheddamanu kunnarata….all pretty girls would have gone flat over him? No they would have actually fainted :)
At this juncture, I would like to thank God for not making our hero join the 6 pack and insult the original and true 6 pack holders…….

Ok I think I am diverting to another sick topic instead of the movie review…..What to do….if I start about Mr. Varun Sandesh……I don’t mind writing or talking loads and loads……

Now sir US lo perigaru kabatti assalu telugu radu……Manasu ante kuda emito telidu……ammo….thats really interesting……Atleast matru basha teliyani vallani emantaru……its ok if you don’t know how to write but atleast every one is supposed to know to talk????
Ok so you will have these kind of people in US? And how many? One in a lakh or a million? I am surprised. And if we have people like this. Should we be calling them telugus???? Is it really required to insult our matru basha……..

And Sir Prado (Land Cruise) lo digutaru oka scene lo…..I would really love to see those shots when screened….door assalu open cheyyagaligara Varun garu….or aa door close cheste vache galike egiri poyuntaremo………
And last song lo Sir Pattani style lo darshanamicharu……I don’t know the dress would have been equal to his weight…..And Sir ala nadichi vastunte…..aa total white backdrop lo…..assalu….hmm…..anta great location lo ilantivadini chusdalsi vachindi…….Imagine…..Prabhas or Gopi chand or for that matter Allu Arjun with their bare bodies walking in that white back drop…..thats like perfect picturization…….
Hmm ……Dil Raju garu, I don’t know what happened to him……He takes so much care of the stories, star casts, music, could do such a movie???? Very shocking actually……..
Immediately after interval, I could see few more seats empty…..Audience could not bear our great versatile Junior Kamal Hassan for even an hour…….
And I heard a gentleman saying who was sitting behind me in his phone conversation…….nuvvu akkade vundu ra…..oka 20 minutes lo bayalderi vachestanu……this is with in 5 minutes after second half started……such is the state of affairs of the people…….We pay INR 100 for a ticket in Prasads, Car parking INR 20, all junk food – INR 200 and we end up seeing such a movie…..oh ………

Of course I keep telling to every one…..for the present state of affairs in the county, be it political or any other…..its the common man whom we have to blame and no one else……Common man ganaka dhairyanga konnitini ediriste……and follows few basic principles in life……everything would automatically set right…..But this would always remain a dream…..so less spoken the better……..

Now Niagara falls……Most beautiful places ( or may be one of the most) in US……Our hero and heroine fall into that and finally they survive…….Wow even the Olympic gold medalists could swim the entire Niagara after a bungi maa jump into that in that high pressure????……ha ha ha…….
And final ga mana Prakash Raj Garu’s back ground voice……Hmmm………Such a true versatile actor talking to such a sick movie……So painful to take :(
And the star cast…….only Hero’s mother, I could see some liveliness in expressions……Though Pratap Potan, Urvachi and the heroine’s father are very good actors in Tamil….Not sure why director and producer had to chose them (as if we don’t have people in our Telugu industry)……and the lip movement to dialogue correlation was not happening for few scenes…..was this necessary……
Shraddha das was ok……..Good performance……..Kota garu is wasted totally……Comedy……where are comedy scenes in this movie……oh Shit man…..I forgot to tell you one more thing…….One foreigner also falls for our hero…..assalu mugguru ammayilu ala padipotaru…..ee Telugu Tyson ki……..wow kada……
And the foreigner becomes devadasini after mana Sir Shraddha das to affair set chesukunnatarvata…..can you imagine that……
Heroine’s bava was adequate to his character……We can see him for more good characters in future…….

Camera work is good……Music is only ok…..Last song (Bhale Bhale mogadivo…that’s how its pronounced in the song :) ) is good to hmm…..but don’t dare to see the hero in that song…..you will laugh and laugh…..probably this is the comedy track of the movie…….of course all scenes involving hero is a comedy track for me……
Finally rating…….hmm……Since we cant give zero rating, let me put it as half.
Rating is ½ for this movie……..
Suggestion: Please please please please don’t encourage such movies and insult the old great movies…..
I haven’t told or explained the story as it’s the same as original and sure most of you would have seen the old version……
